Cypresses pretending to be wrapped Christmas trees, vineries being skeptical about heating their red wines, and the sun, always coming back.
Powder sugar is the only snow we see here in the Tuscan valleys during December.

Still, the atmosphere could not be more festive.
The small villages around us show all the Christmas lights they have collected over generations.
Hugs here, homemade sweets there, people are not afraid to leave their homes for an Aperitivo in town.
The warmth of Italian culture is better than any blanket you could wish for.

In Tuscany, the cozy winter feeling may not be created by snow, but by the people.
And the beauty of it lasts all year round.

Feeling the warmth of people is beauty.

What is the beauty in life?

The imperfections of an old building, a glass of Prosecco, the pure heart of a dog, the love between two people.
Beauty is in the passion that you have for your job, it’s the colors of the trees and a blanket on the ground.

Beauty, the one which doesn’t pass with time, is the most simple one.
It’s hidden behind a smile, it follows a bird between the clouds and a leaf that tries to fly, it’s a hug to say goodbye.

Remember to be simple.

Hey you! Yes you, nature on the border of Tuscany and Umbria.
Thank you for being so sweet to my eyes this fall.

To be honest, I thought that I might get tired of you one day.
Or at least not so impressed anymore.
But I’ve come to understand that this may never happen.
I know it may seem like I take you for granted, but believe me, I don’t.
You know how I can be sometimes.

You surprise me over and over with your moods, with your voice and your handsome looks.
When you get shy and red in the evening before going to bed.
How you cool down in the evening after heated days.
But also when you get so angry that the sky turns dark and shouts at me with its thunder.
When you tear me down, I know that tomorrow you will pull me up again.

I observe you every day here at Cozzano.
And even if sometimes in the morning you play the mystic one and I can’t really see through you, I know that after a while the fog will disappear and you will be clearer than ever.
And there it is again, that warm feeling you create in me.

The light is getting softer, the music is dancing in the wind, the heady scent of freshly picked flowers is carried by the breeze, the glasses are excitedly shining, ready to be filled with some red wine.

October is when our thoughts are lighter and our hearts are warmer. It’s a period of balance. Sunny days are alternates with rainy ones. You can enjoy a sunbath in the afternoon, an outdoor dinner hugged by a blanket, and a cracking bonfire at night.
October is when everything seems to be in its place and I feel at peace with myself, cuddled by the rhythm of nature and its gentle changes.
October is to remember che la vita è bella!

A hot summer night. Wow, what a night!

Italian disco music floats through the valleys of Cozzano and makes the cypresses shake their branches.
The sun’s rays and fairy lights reflect off the disco ball, which seems to move with the beat in the summer breeze.
People in the most colorful cocktail dresses dancing and singing already before dinner starts.

There are no rules, just feelings that move friends and family between tables and the dancefloor with a glass in hand, a smile on their face and feelings warmer than the outside temperature.

Lauren & Travis have created an atmosphere so unique that it’s hard to put into words.
Fresh, young and full of life.
As if some unpublished notes by F. Scott Fitzgerald had been brought into the real world.
A celebration that no one can imagine, but that can only be understood by being part of it.

Thank you for becoming part of our family L&T.
In its 500 years, Cozzano has not felt anything like this before.

A beautiful blend of tenderness and passion can be felt at Cozzano when people share their love with us.

The sense of time is lost, the sky looks more blue and the sparkling wine feels like water.

We see people looking at each other as if they had fallen in love a minute ago.
These looks, these seconds of silence, these kisses are pure beauty.
They make us wonder if it’s reality or if we’re watching an old Italian romantic movie.

It’s time to take a break, a moment of silence, a look at what’s around us.
Instead of the composition on the plate, the number of emails in the inbox, and the position of the umbrella, we observe nature, which lets us enjoy life on her grounds here at Cozzano.
She provides her beauty while people declare their love, enjoy each other’s company at the longest tables, and read their books with a coffee in bed.

Nature is Cozzano’s stage, deciding when it’s time to change during the play, and she always seems to suggest the right setting for each scene.

Unlike us, she has no pressure to fulfill anyone’s expectations.

She shows flowers when she feels like it, changes the color of the grass when she’s thirsty, and starts crying out of nowhere.

Nature may be moody, but at the same time so beautiful that everyone forgives her.

She awakens feelings in us that no one else does.

Observing nature consciously spreads calmness, and once in a while, it’s time to stop, take it all in, and appreciate her presence.
